The Sun report reveal today that Prince Harry has invited Captain Ahmed Raza khan, who he refered to as his “Paki Friend”, for lunch at St james’s Palace next month.
Ahmed Raza, now a hero officer in the Pakistan Army, will visit the UK while on a month’s leave. Ahmed, who was at Sandhurst, Surrey, in 2005 and 2006, was recently honoured for bravery after being shot in a battle with the Taliban.
24-year old Prince Harry was horrified in January when an old video clip emerged in which he zooms in on the cadet and said: “Ah, our little Paki friend . . Ahmed.”
But the both of them, who trained together at Sandhurst military academy, have kept in touch since Harry phoned to apologise for his racist remark.
A prince harry source said: “Harry jumped at the chance of meeting his friend again. Bizarrely, they have struck up a close relationship since the race row broke. Harry still feels embarrassed by what he said and wants to see Ahmed to say sorry to him personally. He appreciated how well Ahmed handled the situation and helped defuse the controversy”.
“I will meet up with Prince Harry. I have told him many times he is my friend.” a close friend of Ahmed Raza said.
I believe, Harry never meant to offend his fellow solder…
And “Paki” is just an abbreviation of the nationality, just like any other .
It’s just people (press especially), like to pay attention to whatever ugly they can find….bad habit of us as humanity… unfortunately…
What amazes me, no one in fact payed attention to the fact that Harry said: “our little friend Ahmed here”…which we all know…we only say such words about someone we really care, love and respect!
Would you say “here is my little friend …” to a someone you want to offend? ,- no….only to someone you have kind feelings for!
Harry is a very kind, sweet and really sincere Soul….he is also the most happy one, which is great and our world needs more people that prefer to spread joy and smiles than sadness and sorrow…
